Meet Mrs. Tawana  Washington

Tawana holds a master’s degree in social work from Widener University, with a focus on Clinical Therapy practices. She also holds certifications in Mindfulness and Life Coaching. Renowned as a highly skilled social enhancement advocate, she brings over 20 years of progressive experience in delivering therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups. Tawana passion lies in empowering, enlightening, and fostering spiritual, emotional, and psychological growth. She embraces a holistic approach in addressing the needs, concerns, and challenges of each individual under her care.  Mrs. Washington firmly believes that every person deserves an opportunity to experience and maintain a healthier self. As the founder and head coach of Peace In The Process, her goal is to offer guidance in establishing a roadmap that facilitates the development and sustenance of a positive sense of self-awareness.

How was PITP Establish?

Over a decade ago, I underwent a routine checkup that led to the recommendation for additional testing. In that moment, I was consumed by overwhelming feelings of nervousness and uncertainty about what to do next. Feeling isolated with my thoughts, the burden became too heavy to carry alone. Turning to prayer, I began to talk to God for direction and peace. In that moment, I distinctly heard the phrase "Peace In The Process." Initially unclear about its meaning, God led me to the scripture Isaiah 26:3, which states, “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee.” This scripture brought me a sense of peace, allowing me to align my thoughts with the plan that God had for me. It became a turning point where I had to focus on getting my mind right. I made a conscious decision to find my peace of mind. This involved self-care, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. I discovered the art of guarding, maintaining, and protecting my peace. What began as a personal journey soon transformed into a passion for assisting others. Peace in the Process takes a holistic approach in the transformation of mind, body, and spirit.

Emotional health is the foundation of our overall well-being, encompassing our capacity to navigate life events, cope effectively, and recognizing and understanding our emotions. It doesn't imply perpetual happiness but rather the ability to manage life events and make health decisions. In my role as a life coach, my objective is to encourage, empower, and enlighten individuals on their journey to becoming the best versions of themselves. I aim to guide them in taking effective actions to enhance performance and cultivate a positive sense of self and mental wellbeing.
